Returns Policy
Under the Consumer Rights Act of 2015 you have an early right to reject goods that are
unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described, and get a full refund.
But this right is limited to 30 days from the date you took ownership of the goods (this could be
the date of purchase or the date the goods were delivered to you – whichever is later).
After the initial 30 days, you can’t demand a full refund in the first instance, but you still have the right to a repair.
If you wish to cancel an order, you may do so provided that you exercise your right no longer than 14 days after the day on which you receive the goods.
Your right to return or cancel products does not apply to goods that are custom-built, are ordered to your specification, or that have been clearly personalised. This doesn’t affect your statutory rights if goods are faulty or not as described.
To exercise the right to cancel, you must make contact with English Electric Motor Co and notify of your decision to cancel your contract by a clear statement, including details of your name, address, details of the order you wish to cancel, including also your preferred contact details (phone number and email address).
You can cancel via email: info@englishelectricmotorco.com or call 01379 898987, or write to English Electric Motor Co.
If you decide to cancel, you should return the goods to use at your cost within 14 days of such cancellation and we will reimburse to you (by the method used to pay for the original transaction) the amount in relation to goods to which cancellation rights apply.
English Electric Motor Co is allowed to charge a cancellation fee, fees must be capped to the amount of damages sustained by the result of the cancellation.
English Electric Motor Co reserves the right to make a refund less any costs relating to loss in value as a result of damage, mishandling, or other devaluation though use of the goods. Refunds shall be made within 14 days of receipt of the returned goods, made using the same means of payment as used for the initial order transaction.
In Store
Contracts relating to all in-store (on-premises) purchases are final. Deposits are transferable into store credit, but are not refundable. Returns or cancellations can only be accepted for goods deemed not of satisfactory quality, or that they do not match a model seen or examined as defined by the Consumer Rights Act.
All goods should be thoroughly inspected by the customer prior to leaving the premises. Any goods having left the premises are deemed as accepted by the customer.
