The evDriver Experience Day 2018 was a great success, thank you to Linda and her wonderful team. It was so encouraging to see the many motorcycle enthusiasts eager to demo our range of motorcycles/mopeds. It also gave EEMC an opportunity to see other EV businesses from the East Anglian region, such as QWEST Norfolk Ltd.
The Norfolk based company has only been trading for 12 months and have created the world’s first EV ‘Shooting Brake’ estate car!
According to QWEST, Jim Router, Engineering Director, has extensive experience and is a legend in the automotive world ‘Jim was able to develop a uniquely stylish body section that could be manufactured out of carbon fibre – for strength durability, weight and aesthetics’ the company says.
The electric estate vehicle ‘is based fully on the Tesla Model ‘S’ car’ but with the advantage of increased capacity and access. However, the design still compliments ‘the muscular stance and style of the base car’. US-based Tesla ‘was informed at the start of the ‘ShootingBrake’ project, they gave specific criteria to adhere to, to maintain support for Teslas‘unique method of vehicle updates’, they add.
What a difference 12 months can make! QWEST Norfolk Ltd have another project on the go, which involves cutting a £90K Tesla car, with Jonny Smith from the popular TV show “FullyCharged”!
For a chance to demo our Zero, Super Soco, and Oset Motorcycles/Mopeds, we’ll be at the Norfolk Chamber of Commerce B2B 2018 Exhibition being held at Norwich City Football ground – see you there.
