EEMC reads with interest that ‘after securing British engineering firm Frazer-Nash as motor supplier’ Morgan’s ‘bonkers-yet-hopefully-brilliant electric three-wheeler will hit the roads’ in 2018.

Motofire.com confirms that the carbon fibre bodied EV3 has a ‘range of around 120 miles from the 21 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and peak horsepower of around 56hp from the liquid-cooled Frazer-Nash A010229 motor’ which is all driven from the Morgan’s solitary rear-wheel.

Although there had been some initial production issues with the star of the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, but thanks to the involvement of British firm Frazer-Nash (the company responsible for the new London electric Taxi) ‘the guts of the battery-powered three wheeler have been sorted’.

And whilst motofire.com claim that traditional motorcycle manufacturers are ‘still sitting on the fence when it comes to announcing their production electric vehicles’ – that’s not to say others are not, so check out Zero or Super Soco electric motorbikes at English Electric Motor Co & why not come to our Demo Days based in East Anglia throughout 2018!
